We are going to start today by recapping last week and then moving on into this week’s message. We learned about forgiveness and repentance. In last week’s message, it came to light that forgiveness and repentance is the first step after acc0epting this WAY that we found and make it apart of your everyday life. We allow the examples of Elohim through His deliverance that He gave many times over with Yeshua, David, Abraham, etc… We allow Him to guide our life through His Spirit the Ruach HaKodesh. It also takes a choice of using our free will to choose to let Elohim be the Master of our hearts which allows Him to create a new WAY for our lives, putting to death the old ways that kept us far from Father.
The scriptures made it clear to us that we were to face the consequences of our actions. That consequence is and will be death if we do not choose to be true worshippers of Elohim. We have to turn from sin and learn to try and turn from a life of sin and live a life of righteousness. Being obedient to our Elohim is probably the hardest thing to do considering that we live in a world full of sin. Yet this is what is ask of us to receive eternal life in Heaven.
John 4:21-24 –
21 יהושע said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you shall neither on this mountain, nor in Yerushalayim, worship the Father.
22 You worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because the deliverance is of the Yehuḏim.
23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship Him.
24 “Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him need to worship in spirit and truth.”
Finally, after accepting the Way and the walk as we come to know it, we learned that when we sin, we still have to ask for forgiveness and repent of those sins. We also have seen that if we refuse to do so, to think that once acceptance is done, we need no more forgiveness, we are playing a trick on ourselves and allowing the enemy to deceive and condemn us.
Today we are going to discuss a portion of the salvation part but this will be a trip down a lane that will be uncomfortable for most. Reason is that most people have been deceived in a concept that has been taught for a long time. This issue starts with understanding a chain of command and how to implement that. There is a reason why Elohim has been consistently preaching out of this ministry for the past few months the same message but presented in many different ways. That message was the message of Seeking ELOHIM. The thing about seeking Elohim is that it means to seek the Father. Let me say this again, it means to seek the Father. This isn’t a game of cat and mouse that we play here, where we are the mouse and we have an enemy coming to get us. This is a game of maze. We are stuck in a web of deception riddled all around us. This deception was carried out many, many years ago. This deception is a tactic rather than a specific act. Before we go into the tactic, lets look at the foundation of our faith and then build upward. As a disclaimer, the perception we are taking is a New Covenant Samaritan that just picked up Torah and started reading. This is the time of Yeshua’s ministry everything is being carried out and we are looking through the eyes of this Samaritan that believes that this Yeshua was sent in the spirit of the Father. Strolling down thru Galilee wearing a white tunic and a head covering of your choice and you feel the breeze from the Galilean Sea. You feel the urge to sit down with this Torah and see who this God of Israel is. Now with the stage set up and the mind envisioning the portrait I just painted for you. You start out in the book of Deuteronomy.
Deuteronomy 3:22
22 Do not fear them, for יהוה your Elohim Himself fights for you.’
Psalm 62:1-2
1 My being finds rest in Elohim alone; From Him is my deliverance.
2 He alone is my rock and my deliverance, my strong tower; I am not greatly shaken.
2 Samuel 22:2
1 Then Dawiḏ spoke to יהוה the words of this song, on the day when יהוה had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Sha’ul.
2 And he said, “יהוה is my rock and my stronghold and my deliverer.
3 “My Elohim is my rock, I take refuge in Him, My shield and the horn of my deliverance, My high tower and my refuge. My Saviour, You save me from violence.
4 “I call on יהוה, the One to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.
Proverbs 21:31
31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But the deliverance is of יהוה.
Deuteronomy 32:39
39 See now that I, I am He, And there is no Elohim besides Me. I put to death and I make alive. I have wounded, and I heal. And from My hand no one delivers!
Exodus 20:1-6
1 And Elohim spoke all these Words, saying,
2 “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.
3 “You have no other mighty ones against My face.
4 “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth,
5 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,”
6 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.
Deuteronomy 4:24
24 “For יהוה your Elohim is a consuming fire, a jealous Ěl.
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
4 “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
5 “And you shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.
So you read these verses along with some other verses as your skim through the Torah and you realize that the God of the Hebrews is only One. One being who created all things and opposite of most, if not all, other faiths in the world. That being said, you remember about the rumors of a man who proclaimed to be sent from Yah and so you stroll to ponder your life after death continuing to try and find out which way is right. You stumble upon a comfortable place to call it a night and you build a fire and start reading again.
Isaiah 53:1
1 Who has believed our report? And to whom was the arm of יהוה revealed?
Psalms 110:1-4
1 יהוה said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
2 יהוה sends Your mighty sceptre out of Tsiyon. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!
3 Your people volunteer in the day of Your might, In the splendours of set-apartness! From the womb, from the morning, You have the dew of Your youth!
4 יהוה has sworn and does not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Malkitseḏeq.”
As you read this Psalm you remember reading something about this in Isaiah and Genesis.
Genesis 14:18-20
18 And Malkitseḏeq sovereign of Shalĕm brought out bread and wine. Now he was the priest of the Most High Ěl.
19 And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Aḇram of the Most High Ěl, Possessor of the heavens and earth.
20 “And blessed be the Most High Ěl who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him a tenth of all.
You are given a moment of pause to reflect what you just read knowing what just took place in Jerusalem with the pharisees taking Yeshua up to be charged, tried, convicted and condemned to crucifixion. You start to remember some words that others echoed to you in passing from the mouth of this Yeshua and a few verses that continue to make you ponder.
Matthew 22:43-45
43 He said to them, “Then how does Dawiḏ in the Spirit call Him ‘Master,’ saying,
44 ‘יהוה said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool of Your feet” ’?
45 If then Dawiḏ calls Him ‘Master,’ how is He his Son?
Zechariah 8:23
23 “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all languages of the nations take hold, yes, they shall take hold of the edge of the garment of a man, a Yehuḏi, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you.” ’
Many things point to this Yeshua person but what we can tell from the majority of what we are seeing is that Yeshua is the high priest, son of Elohim, an offering unto his cause. The cause was to promote the truth, a blessing of a cause for all mankind. While thinking about this Yeshua that you have been hearing about, you are reminded of the Passover that happens in Yerushalayim.
Exodus 12
The Passover
1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, saying,
2 This new moon is the beginning of new moons for you, it is the first new moon of the year for you.
3 Speak to all the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this new moon each one of them is to take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.
4 ‘And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next to his house take it according to the number of the beings, according to each man’s need you make your count for the lamb.
5 ‘Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats.
6 ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same new moon. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl shall slay it between the evenings.
7 ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it.
8 ‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire – with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 ‘Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire, its head with its legs and its inward parts.
10 ‘And do not leave of it until morning, and what remains of it until morning you are to burn with fire.
11 ‘And this is how you eat it: your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Pĕsaḥ of יהוה.
12 ‘And I shall pass through the land of Mitsrayim on that night, and shall strike all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, both man and beast. And on all the mighty ones of Mitsrayim I shall execute judgment. I am יהוה.
13 ‘And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I shall pass over you, and let the plague not come on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Mitsrayim.
14 ‘And this day shall become to you a remembrance. And you shall celebrate it as a festival to יהוה throughout your generations – celebrate it as a festival, an everlasting law.
15 ‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. Indeed on the first day you cause leaven to cease from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that being shall be cut off from Yisra’ĕl.
16 ‘And on the first day is a set-apart gathering, and on the seventh day you have a set-apart gathering. No work at all is done on them, only that which is eaten by every being, that alone is prepared by you.
17 ‘And you shall guard the Festival of Matzot, for on this same day I brought your divisions out of the land of Mitsrayim. And you shall guard this day throughout your generations, an everlasting law.
18 ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the new moon, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the new moon in the evening.
19 ‘For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, that same being shall be cut off from the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, whether sojourner or native of the land.
20 ‘Do not eat that which is leavened – in all your dwellings you are to eat unleavened bread.’ ”
21 And Mosheh called for all the elders of Yisra’ĕl and said to them, “Go out and take lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and slay the Pĕsaḥ.
22 “And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin, and you, none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.
23 “And יהוה shall pass on to smite the Mitsrites, and shall see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and יהוה shall pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.
24 “And you shall guard this word as a law for you and your sons, forever.
25 “And it shall be, when you come to the land which יהוה gives you, as He promised, that you shall guard this service.
26 “And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What does this service mean to you?’
27 “then you shall say, ‘It is the Pĕsaḥ slaughtering of יהוה, who passed over the houses of the children of Yisra’ĕl in Mitsrayim when He smote the Mitsrites and delivered our households.’ And the people bowed their heads and did obeisance.
28 And the children of Yisra’ĕl went away and did so – as יהוה had commanded Mosheh and Aharon, so they did.
29 And it came to be at midnight that יהוה struck all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, from the first-born of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the first-born of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the first-born of livestock.
30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants, and all the Mitsrites. And there was a great cry in Mitsrayim, for there was not a house where there was not a dead one.
31 Then he called for Mosheh and Aharon by night, and said, “Arise, go out from the midst of my people, both you and the children of Yisra’ĕl. And go, serve יהוה as you have said.
32 Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and go. Then you shall bless me too.
33 And the Mitsrites were strong on the people, to hasten to send them away out of the land. For they said, “We are all dying!”
34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their garments on their shoulders.
35 And the children of Yisra’ĕl had done according to the word of Mosheh, and they had asked from the Mitsrites objects of silver, and objects of gold, and garments.
36 And יהוה gave the people favour in the eyes of the Mitsrites, so that they gave them what they asked, and they plundered the Mitsrites.
37 And the children of Yisra’ĕl set out from Ra‛meses to Sukkoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides the little ones.
38 And a mixed multitude went up with them too, also flocks and herds, very much livestock.
39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Mitsrayim, for it was not leavened, since they were driven out of Mitsrayim, and had not been able to delay, nor had they prepared food for themselves.
40 And the sojourn of the children of Yisra’ĕl who lived in Mitsrayim was four hundred and thirty years.
41 And it came to be at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, on that same day it came to be that all the divisions of יהוה went out from the land of Mitsrayim.
42 It is a night of watches unto יהוה for bringing them out of the land of Mitsrayim. This is that night of watches unto יהוה, for all the children of Yisra’ĕl throughout their generations.
43 And יהוה said to Mosheh and Aharon, “This is the law of the Pĕsaḥ: No son of a stranger is to eat of it,
44 but any servant a man has bought for silver, when you have circumcised him, then let him eat of it.
45 “A sojourner and a hired servant does not eat of it.
46 “It is eaten in one house, you are not to take any of the flesh outside the house, nor are you to break any bone of it.
47 “All the congregation of Yisra’ĕl are to perform it.
48 “And when a stranger sojourns with you and shall perform the Pĕsaḥ to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and perform it, and he shall be as a native of the land. But let no uncircumcised eat of it.
49 There is one Torah for the native-born and for the stranger who sojourns among you.
50 And all the children of Yisra’ĕl did as יהוה commanded Mosheh and Aharon, so they did.
51 And it came to be on that same day that יהוה brought the children of Yisra’ĕl out of the land of Mitsrayim according to their divisions.
As we enter into the Passover this evening, I feel this is the appropriate place to split this off for the day and we will continue on to part 3 next week where we will explore in detail the relationship of Yeshua, the Father and the children who proclaim this faith. We will discover what salvation truly means and we may even find a piece to the never ending puzzle of life that may point us to future events we are experiencing right now.
