Fellowship

Fellowship:
Focus on learning how to fellowship with YeHoVaH and Yeshua

Introduction to Fellowship of Yah

Today, we are going to cover what fellowship is and about. We will discover the true meaning that the Scriptures try to get across when talking about fellowship. All the while, we will finally go into the discovery of the name of this ministry which belongs to YeHoVaH under my shepherding sight. Before we delve into the scriptures to define and see how fellowshiping should be done and how its described, lets introduce the establishing people, the way the ministry came and how we got here today.

Starting with 1 Jn. 1:3, 5-7
3-we declare to you that which we have seen and heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Yeshua the Messiah.
5-This then is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you: YeHoVaH is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
6-If we say that we have fellowship with Him, yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7-But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yeshua the Messiah His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Definition of Fellowship
2842 koinónia: fellowship
(koy-nohn-ee’-ah)
(lit: partnership) (a) contributory help, participation, (b) sharing in, communion, (c) spiritual fellowship, a fellowship in the spirit.

1 Jn: 1:3
3-we declare to you that which we have seen and heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Yeshua the Messiah.

Our fellowship is with the Father and His Son. We have to remember that the Father comes first. Everything else comes after Him. Remember that.

To go further into this to get a clearer picture, imagine this. YeHoVaH tells us that the world is Satans’ until His Son comes back. So this means that the world is of darkness, therefore if you are in the world and doing of the world things, pleasing the flesh of the body with the world, we by action choose to live in darkness. According to the above scripture, we have to fellowship with one another in the light not in the darkness. In this case, we have to take hold of 1 John 2:15-17.

1 John 2:15-17
15-Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16-For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17-The world and its desires are passing away, but the one who does the will of YeHoVaH lives forever.

Clearly, we are being told we have to release the fleshly desires and not follow our own hearts but follow Yeshua and let Him be our guide. The best way to do this is to fellowship with Him as much as we can.

We see that in 1 John that in order to fellowship with one another properly, we need to first know how to fellowship with the Father and His Son. Now that we know how to fellowship with the Father and His Son, let us look into fellowshiping and the treatment of one another. Turn with me to 1 Peter 4:7-11

1 Peter 4:7-11
7-The end of all things is near. Therefore be solemn and sober so you can pray.
8-Above all things, have unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
9 -Show hospitality to one another without complaining.
10-As everyone has received a gift, even so serve one another with it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of YeHoVaH.
11-If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of YeHoVaH. If anyone serves, let him serve with the strength that YeHoVaH supplies, so that YeHoVaH in all things may be glorified through Yeshua the Messiah, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amein.

Definition of Sober
4993 sóphroneó: self-control
(so-fron-eh’-o)
I am of sound mind, am sober-minded, exercise self-control.

1 Pt. 4:7
7-The end of all things is near. Therefore be solemn and sober so you can pray.

The Father wants us to be sober. He wants us to have self-control and a clear mind. This leads to a disciplined mind, which allows the Messiah to give us a more Messiah-like led mind. Something we should all strive for. As we learn to fellowship with the Father and His Son, we will learn how to act more like They want us to act.

Definition of Unfailing
1618 ektenés: stretched, fig. zealous, earnest
(ek-ten-ace’)
intent, constant, strenuous, intense

1 Pt. 4:8
8-Above all things, have unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

Because love covers a multitude of sins. This statement leaves one to believe that being constant(unfailing) in love, that this intent of love will cover a multitude of sins. One could say that Yeshua’s love for us, which led to His death, covered all our sins, a multitude. WOW! Even texts that show us how to act, also shows us the example in Yeshua. A way to train ourselves to be Messiah minded. Remember that!

Definition of Hospitality
5382 philoxenos: loving strangers
(fil-ox’-en-os)
hospitable, loving strangers

1 Pt. 4:9
9 -Show hospitality to one another without complaining.

Once again, we are being told something that will help train us to be more Messiah minded. At the same time, it teaches us to fellowship with the Father and His Son in every step we take in life. Can you see where this is leading yet?

Definition of Gifts
5486 charisma: a gift of grace, a free gift
(khar’-is-mah)
a grace-endowment
a gift of grace, an undeserved favor

1 Pt. 4:10
10-As everyone has received a gift, even so serve one another with it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of YeHoVaH.

When we learn to fellowship with the Father and His Son, we learn to build a relationship with Him. This all leads to obedience and like with all parents, when you obey, you get rewarded. What better of a reward then a divine gift from our Father?

Definition of Steward
3623 oikonomos
(oy-kon-om’-os)
a steward, guardian.

1 Pt. 4:10 (Cont.)
10-As everyone has received a gift, even so serve one another with it, as good stewards of the manifold grace of YeHoVaH.

As a believer and follower of our Father we have to keep in mind that we have to represent Him as well. When we are around people and we say we are believers, we get this microscope on us to see if we slip up. That is why the above passage says we need to be good stewards. We have to uphold the righteousness of our Father to portray Him. This also helps us to build a stronger Messiah like mind and a better relationship with the Father.

Definition of Oracle
3051 lógion
(log’-ee-on)
oracles, divine responses or utterances

These verses are pulling us to know that we all, through the Fathers supplication and His Sons glorification, have many different things to offer and the best way for these gifts to be used is to manifest them when needed during fellowship. When we all are together, fellowshiping together in the name of the Father and the glory of Yeshua, our gifts should be manifested. Whether it is generosity, love, prayer, laying on hands, discernment, advising one another, financial support or just being there for each other. All these things, when we do them in love, in respect and glory to the Father and His Son, we live and act the way the Father and Yeshua would want us to. It is Their way of manifesting in us and how powerful and what a testimony to see that happen.

All the while, we have to keep in mind that we have to have a mind to service the Lord and keep Him at the heart of everything we do. When we act in His name, we need to do so righteously by exercising self-control, being constant and consistent with our behavior, being hospitable and loving to our neighbors even if they are strangers and being a guardian to properly display God’s grace to the people around us. All of this is a part of our growth in a relationship and as believers in the Almighty and His Son Yeshua.

As our focus is how to fellowship, we do not need to fellowship in the manner that the world has taught us to do it the “right way” but we need to listen to the Scriptures, His Word. Shortly, we will see how to worship the Father and the Son in fellowship the way He would like us to.

YeHoVaH gave us an instruction on how to worship Him while we fellowship together. The first example of this we can look at is in Hebrews 10:24-25

Hebrews 10:24-25
24-And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
25-not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

We see that the Father is speaking through the writer of Hebrews that the fellowship between the believers of the body of Messiah is important and shall not be neglected especially since the Second Coming of the Son of Man is soon. Since we are given the instruction not to forget or neglect fellowshipping, we can see the core of fellowship is the love of Messiah and the command of loving one another.

Ephesians 4:1-6
1-I, therefore, the prisoner of YeHoVaH, exhort you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you were called.
2-With all humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another in love.
3-be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4- There is one body and one Spirit, even as you were called in one hope of your calling,
5-one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6-one Elohim and ABBA of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

After reading this we see that Elohim, Messiah and the Spirit is in all of us, therefore, when we belong to the Father, the love of all of Them is in us and can show through us. It should be paramount that we show this love when we fellowship together and should make fellowshipping a habitual practice. As we go through the Scriptures to see how we fellowship. We learn that Messiah through His love is the foundation of fellowship. One thing that Messiah shows us in His word, as He is the Word, is that He wants us to build up one another.

1 Thessolonians 5:9-11
9-For Elohim has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,
10-who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we should live together with Him.
11-So comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, just as you are doing.

In Thessolonians, we see that our salvation comes from Yeshua. He died to pay the price of atonement for our sins. To pave the way for us to get into His Fathers kingdom. Choosing to let Him live in us, we need to promote how He wants us to behave and the evidence is quite clear. Let us recap what we’ve learned.

THE EVIDENCE

Having fellowship is something the Father made an effort to explain to us which means its important to Him that we understand how to do it.
He shows us that to be able to fellowship with others in His name, we need to know how to fellowship with Him and His Son.
We are told that after we learn how to fellowship with the Father and His Son, that we soon experience the gifts that He gives us and how to use them. Soon after He shows us that when we use these gifts, we should do it without prejudice and we know this because He tells us to even be hospitable and loving to strangers. He then basically tells us that in the end times, when His Son is about to come, that fellowship will be neglected and we have to be aware and make a serious effort not to neglect the importance to having fellowship. Finally, He tells us that we are to comfort ourselves and to edify one another because we only have Him and each other to help us through this life. Brothers and Sisters, Friends and Family. We are here to learn about our God and about our Savior but instead we learned how important it is to be together in these terrible times. We learned that because of Him above, we are given a directional layout to help us through these troubles. The only question that remains ladies and gentlemen, are you willing to listen?
