Spiritual Warfare: Symbols, Idols, Divination Pt. 2

We embark today’s journey in the continuation of symbolism. Our focus today is false gods. Now we will see a lot of things today that will represent things in a more 3 dimensional perspective but I ask you to take this perspective and turn it two dimensional in respect to our topic. Since in the past we have covered all types of idols and false gods, today it isn’t necessary to focus on that point of view. So as we move forward let’s keep focus on today’s perspective so we can complete the task of the Spiritual Warfare: Symbols series.

Nehemiah 1:7-9
7 “We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not guarded the commands, nor the laws, nor the right-rulings which You commanded Your servant Mosheh.
8 “Please remember the word that You commanded Your servant Mosheh, saying, ‘If you trespass, I shall scatter you among the peoples,
9 but if you shall turn back to Me, and guard My commands and do them, though you were cast out to the end of the heavens, I shall gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen, to make My Name dwell there.’

Exodus 20:3-6
3 “You have no other mighty ones against My face.
4 “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth,
5 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,”
6 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.

As you can see here in the first slide, there are multiple gods that are being displayed. I want to bring your focus to a certain understanding for each one. The first is the Buddha statute and when I see this image, there are two things that come to mind, gluttony and swine. The second image is good ole st. nick, we all know how bad he is. A common misunderstanding that many people miss and it’s clearly seen what this god is about in one statement by Yeshua in John 10:1, 1“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber.” We know who the thief is in the spiritual realm therefore having images or symbols of this imposter would allow hasatan to infiltrate your life. Next is sports gods, many of you will argue with this but as I have preached in the past, if you watch sports just for the game and not to worship a player or team that is one thing but having a man cave decked out in Denver Bronco gear and constantly wearing a named jersey so forth and so on, you are worshiping a man or team as an idol. One insight is the thing where the players, announcers, watchers and others involved, thinks that there is some sports god that deals out tragedy or triumph for a respective team and so goes the way the super bowl turns out. Then we have the infamous cow, who in some religions are considered sacred and shouldn’t be killed but worshiped. Remember the calf of the exodus while Moses was at the top of the mountain. Just saying. Next is the Taoist god in Chinese magic. Not going to even touch on that but you can see it clearly for yourselves. Next week, we will delve more into that perspective. Moving on.

2 Kings 23:4-7
4 Then the sovereign commanded Ḥilqiyahu the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the Hĕḵal of יהוה all the objects that were made for Ba‛al, and for Ashĕrah, and for all the host of the heavens. And he burned them outside Yerushalayim in the fields of Qiḏron, and took their ashes to Bĕyth Ěl.
5 And he put down the black-robed priests whom the sovereigns of Yehuḏah had appointed to burn incense on the high places in the cities of Yehuḏah and in the places all around Yerushalayim, and those who burned incense to Ba‛al, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the constellations, and to all the host of the heavens.
6 And he brought out the Ashĕrah from the House of יהוה, to the wadi Qiḏron outside Yerushalayim, and burned it at the wadi Qiḏron and ground it to ashes, and threw its ashes on the burial-sites of the sons of the people.
7 And he broke down the houses of the male cult prostitutes that were in the House of יהוה, where the women wove tapestries for the Ashĕrah.

Asherah aka Egyptian goddess Hathor, Elat, Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar, Hittite goddess appears as Asherdu(s) or Asertu(s), Athirat is the consort of the god El and the false goddess assumed to be referred to as Queen of Heaven.

Once again we will take each image one at a time. The first image is a display of what you see in the flesh versus what is actually under the skin. Now this symbology is not so cut and dry. We are seeing Astaroth being displayed as a beautiful woman but underneath she is a demon of dangerous proportions. As we move through these images, you will see some very evil things that you may or may not have known was that evil. The next image is the creation of the Constantine pagan messiah that was adopted into the Catholic church. Many of you know that I have stated in the past and will still state to this day that the name Jesus Christ is not the name above all names. His name what Yeshua the Messiah or Yeshua HaMashiach. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with Jesus and no problem with Christ but I have a problem putting them together to give a proper name to a Messiah that has only one name. The next image needs no introduction. Nimrod, the bringer and accomplice to the creation of Easter and Christmas as holidays. This is plain and simple but it is a part of idol worship so having things such as pictures of santas and other types of paraphernalia could open up these gateways that we are trying to eradicate from a true believers life. The next three images are related to Astaroth. (Review each image)

Jeremiah 46:25
25 יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, has said, “See, I am bringing punishment on Amon of No, and on Pharaoh, and on Mitsrayim, and on their mighty ones, and on their sovereigns, and on Pharaoh and on those trusting in him.

Exodus 34:13-14
13 “But break down their slaughter-places, and smash their pillars, and cut down their Ashĕrim –
14 for you do not bow yourselves to another mighty one, for יהוה, whose Name is jealous, is a jealous Ěl –

Deuteronomy 7:5
5 “But this is what you do to them: Break down their slaughter-places, and smash their pillars, and cut down their Ashĕrim, and burn their carved images with fire.

Asherim
An ancient Semitic goddess, sometimes identified with Ashtoreth and Astarte, worshiped by the Phoenicians and Canaanites.

Any of various upright wooden objects serving as a sacred symbol of Asherah.

In this slide, there are numerous images of the demons that are named by Solomon. Solomon’s work in the world was turned into jewish magick. The Rabbinical literature goes much further, and is the main source of the claims that Solomon was involved in witchcraft-like practices and had access to supernatural powers. It reports that, on account of his modest request for wisdom only, Solomon was rewarded with riches and an unprecedentedly glorious realm, which extended over the upper world inhabited by the angels and over the whole of the terrestrial globe with all its inhabitants, including all the beasts, fowls and reptiles, as well as the demons and spirits. So it is my understanding that Solomon had many pagan wives and it caused him to fall away from what he was doing or at least it seems that way considering he delve into witchcraft which is, of course, an abomination to YHVH. Let’s take a look into this real quick in the scriptures. Before we get into these scriptures, let me pose a question for you to ponder as we read these verses. If the wisest person in history can be led astray from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, then what does that mean for us? How much easier is it for bad company to corrupt us?

1 Kings 11:1-5
1 And Sovereign Shelomoh loved many foreign women in addition to the daughter of Pharaoh: Mo’aḇite, Ammonite, Eḏomite, Tsiḏonian, and Ḥittite women;
2 from the nations of whom יהוה had said to the children of Yisra’ĕl, “You do not go into them, and they do not go into you, for they shall certainly turn away your hearts after their mighty ones.” Shelomoh clung to these in love.
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines. And his wives turned away his heart.
4 And it came to be, when Shelomoh was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other mighty ones. And his heart was not perfect with יהוה his Elohim, as was the heart of his father Dawiḏ.
5 And Shelomoh went after Ashtoreth the mighty one of the Tsiḏonians, and after Milkom the abomination of the Ammonites.
6 Thus Shelomoh did evil in the eyes of יהוה, and did not follow יהוה completely, like his father Dawiḏ.

Nehemiah 13:26
26“Did not Shelomoh sovereign of Yisra’ĕl sin because of them? Among the many nations there was no sovereign like him, who was beloved of his Elohim, and Elohim made him sovereign over all Yisra’ĕl. Even him foreign women caused to sin.

1 Corinthians 15:33
33 Do not be led astray, “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

Now that we have gone over these scriptures, it seems to me that being more mindful of what and who we let into our lives, should be combed a lot more thoroughly. Rather than being on the fence about the things that come into your life, you should be much more attentive to these things. Being more dismissive and disallowing of these who’s and what’s in your life. Let’s move on to the rest of the scriptures concerning these false gods.

2 Kings 17:34-35
34 To this day they are doing according to the former rulings: they are not fearing יהוה, nor do they follow their laws or their right-rulings, or the Torah and command which יהוה had commanded the children of Ya‛aqoḇ, whose name He made Yisra’ĕl,
35 with whom יהוה had made a covenant and commanded them, saying, “Do not fear other mighty ones, nor bow down to them nor serve them nor slaughter to them;

Judges 6:28-32
28 And the men of the city arose early in the morning and saw the slaughter-place of Ba‛al was broken down, and the Ashĕrah that was beside it had been cut down, and the second bull was being offered on the slaughter-place which was built.
29 And they said to each other, “Who has done this deed?” And when they had inquired and asked, they said, “Giḏ‛on son of Yo’ash has done this deed.
30 And the men of the city said to Yo’ash, “Bring out your son, so that he dies, for he has broken down the slaughter-place of Ba‛al, and because he has cut down the Ashĕrah that was beside it.”
31 And Yo’ash said to all who stood against him, “You, would you plead for Ba‛al? You, would you save him? Let the one who would plead for him be put to death by morning! If he is a mighty one, let him plead for himself, because his slaughter-place has been broken down!”
32 So that day he called him Yerubba‛al, saying, “Let Ba‛al plead against him, because he has broken down his slaughter-place.”

1 Timothy 6:10
10 For the love of silver is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some, by longing for it, have strayed from the belief, and pierced themselves through with many pains.

Matthew 6:24
24 No one is able to serve two masters, for either he shall hate the one and love the other, or else he shall cleave to the one and despise the other. You are not able to serve Elohim and mammon.

Hebrews 13:5
5 Let your way of life be without the love of silver, and be satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, “I shall never leave you nor forsake you,”

Matthew 19:24
24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel, which is camel or rope. to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the reign of Elohim.”

Obviously, any form of money as imagery or another other display of money in your life could be showing a love for money and have invoked Mammon in your life. Dismiss all the money representations out of your life.

1 Kings 14:15
15 “And יהוה shall strike Yisra’ĕl, as a reed is shaken in the water, and shall pluck Yisra’ĕl from this good soil which He gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the River, because they made their Ashĕrim, provoking יהוה,

1 Kings 15:13
13 And he also removed Ma‛aḵah his grandmother from being sovereigness mother, because she had made an abominable image for Ashĕrah. And Asa cut down her abominable image and burned it by the wadi Qiḏron.

1 Kings 16:33
33 And Aḥaḇ made an Ashĕrah. And Aḥaḇ did more to provoke יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl than all the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl before him.

The thing behind self worship is about putting yourself before YHVH. Researching this I came across something very disturbing. I will not repeat the website as it is dangerous and well curiosity tends to kill the cat. I quote, “What does it really mean to be your own god, and where did this idea originate from? Read about Satanic self worship and becoming a god in Satanism.” So self-worship is related to Satanism because it makes you no better than Ba’al, Jezebel, Ahab or any others of the same likeness. Let’s open up to some scriptures to show what I mean.

1 Kings 18:17-40
17 And it came to be, when Aḥaḇ saw Ěliyahu, that Aḥaḇ said to him, “Is that you, O disturber of Yisra’ĕl?”
18 And he answered, “I have not disturbed Yisra’ĕl, but you and your father’s house, in that you have forsaken the commands of יהוה, and you have followed the Ba‛als.
19 “And now, send and gather all Yisra’ĕl to me on Mount Karmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Ba‛al, and the four hundred prophets of Ashĕrah, who eat at Izeḇel’s table.”
20 Aḥaḇ then sent for all the children of Yisra’ĕl, and gathered the prophets on Mount Karmel.
21 And Ěliyahu came to all the people, and said, “How long would you keep hopping between two opinions? If יהוה is Elohim, follow Him; and if Ba‛al, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.
22 And Ěliyahu said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of יהוה, but the prophets of Ba‛al are four hundred and fifty men.
23 “Now let them give us two bulls. And let them choose one bull for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but set no fire. And I, I prepare the other bull, and shall lay it on the wood, but set no fire.
24 “And you shall call on the name of your mighty one, and I, I call on the Name of יהוה. And the Elohim who answers by fire, He is Elohim.” So all the people answered and said, “The word is good.”
25 And Ěliyahu said to the prophets of Ba‛al, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many. And call on the name of your mighty one, but set no fire.”
26 So they took the bull which was given them, and prepared it, and called on the name of Ba‛al from morning even until noon, saying, “O Ba‛al, answer us!” But there was no voice and no one answered. And they leaped about the slaughter-place which they had made.
27 And it came to be at noon, that Ěliyahu taunted them and said, “Cry aloud, for he is a mighty one; he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or it could be that he is asleep and has to be awakened!”
28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves, according to their ruling, with knives and spears, until the blood gushed out on them.
29 And it came to be when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of bringing the evening offering. But there was no voice and no one answered, and no one paying attention.
30 Then Ěliyahu said to all the people, “Come closer to me.” And all the people came closer to him. And he repaired the slaughter-place of יהוה that was broken down.
31 And Ěliyahu took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Ya‛aqoḇ, to whom the word of יהוה had come, saying, “Yisra’ĕl is your name.”
32 And with the stones he built a slaughter-place in the Name of יהוה. And he made a trench around the slaughter-place large enough to hold two seahs of seed.
33 And he arranged the wood, and cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the ascending offering and on the wood.”
34 Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time. And he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time.
35 And the water flowed around the slaughter-place, and he filled the trench with water too.
36 And it came to be, at the time of bringing the evening offering, that Ěliyahu the prophet came near and said, “יהוה Elohim of Aḇraham, Yitsḥaq, and Yisra’ĕl, let it be known today: You are Elohim in Yisra’ĕl, and I Your servant, have done all these matters by Your word.
37 “Answer me, O יהוה, answer me, and let this people know that You are יהוה Elohim, and You shall turn their hearts back to You again.”
38 Then the fire of יהוה fell and consumed the ascending offering, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And all the people saw, and fell on their faces, and said, “יהוה, He is the Elohim! יהוה, He is the Elohim!”
40 And Ěliyahu said to them, “Seize the prophets of Ba‛al! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them, and Ěliyahu brought them down to the wadi Qishon and slew them there.

Judges 10:6
6 And the children of Yisra’ĕl again did evil in the eyes of יהוה, and served the Ba‛als and the Ashtoreths, and the mighty ones of Aram, and the mighty ones of Tsiḏon, and the mighty ones of Mo’aḇ, and the mighty ones of the children of Ammon, and the mighty ones of the Philistines – and forsook יהוה and did not serve Him.

Everything you have seen today are things that can be pictures, symbols, idols or anything of the sort. These things pose significant dangers in our walks and in our spirit. It’s not like they can harm us but they can influence us to make bad decisions. A couple of weeks, we had a comment on our YouTube channel in response to our symbols pt 1 video that tried to invoke jewish magick on our channel. This is to be expected because we are bringing the truth and truth, just like our Messiah, will always be persecuted. On the other hand, you have those people that claim to be Christians, like this person who left the comment, who are anything but what they claim to be. Looking at the next slide, you will see what I’m trying to say.

Once the truth of the image you just saw comes to light for some, then you hear the statement on the next slide. What a true statement in response to what some people say. It should cause us to fear YHVH knowing how dark and evil our hearts can be. Brothers, sisters, today’s message is about cleaning out your life, just like the first part was. I ask you to clean out your life, examine it, find the gateways, idols, things that represent evil and eradicate them from you house, car, job, home, whatever your life inhabits, rid it of these things. It is very important to do this, I leave you with one section of verses, a prayer, if you desire it to be.
The book of Psalms chapter 19:7-14,
7 The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple;
8 The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether,
10 More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward.
12 Who discerns mistakes? Declare me innocent from those that are secret,
13 Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous ones, Do not let them rule over me. Then shall I be perfect, and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be pleasing before You, O יהוה, my rock and my redeemer.
